LEESBURG, Va. (March 22, 2022) – BENEFIT is returning to venues in downtown Leesburg on Saturday, Sept. 17, for its 2022 Crossroads Music Festival. The event features original music performances from regional artists for an evening of music that helps support community nonprofit organizations.

BENEFIT is extending a call for musicians to perform at the organization’s 2022 Crossroads Music Festival. Bands, singer-songwriters and other musicians who are interested in joining BENEFIT and offering their time and musical talents are encouraged to submit their information through the online application form on BENEFIT’s Performer page (www.benefit.live/performers) by Tuesday, April 19. A final lineup of performers will be announced in early May.

Established in 2017, Bands Empowering Nonprofits with Engagement and Fundraising Improving Tomorrow (BENEFIT) is a coalition of musicians and community leaders
uniting people with music to raise funds and awareness for nonprofits serving children in Loudoun County.

“BENEFIT’s 2022 Crossroads Music Festival is an opportunity for musicians to give back to the community while doing what they love — performing live music,” Amy Bobchek, BENEFIT co-founder, said. “I’m a musician and if you are like me, you know that it is a great feeling to be able to bring joy to someone by connecting with them through music. Then multiply that feeling by knowing that your 60-minute set is helping raise funds for nonprofit organizations that serve children in your community.”

A new item for musicians interested in performing at BENEFIT’s 2022 Crossroads Music Festival is the option to be a venue “Host Band”. The host band — one per venue — will provide sound and lighting for all performances taking place at their assigned venue. Each venue host band will receive a stipend as well as recognition at the event. Performers interested in being a host band can select the “Optional: Host Band”
checkbox when completing the online application form.

“All of the musicians at past BENEFIT events have generously donated their time to help us with our organization’s mission to raise funds for nonprofits serving children in
Loudoun County,” Ara Bagdasarian, BENEFIT co-founder said. “Many of the musicians asked how they can help –– even more. The venue host band option gives musicians
the opportunity to be even more involved with the event and help with the logistics and management of venue performances. Many BENEFIT team members are musicians,
and we know the time and effort it takes to set up and put on a live music performance. That is why we are offering payment and additional recognition if a musician or band is a host band at a venue for our 2022 Crossroads Music Festival.”
